Pharos

Pharos is a Chrome extension that helps you spot scam websites before you fall for them: fake sign-in pages for your bank or email, “your computer is infected, call this number” screens, fake parcel-fee and shop checkouts, and booby-trapped downloads. It checks each page against public blocklists and warning signs in the web address, takes a closer look at unfamiliar pages with an AI screenshot checker, and warns you or blocks the page when something looks wrong. Pharos is currently in a small, invite-only alpha.
