Alpha Tester Agreement

1. Parties
This agreement is between SkyLink Solutions LLC, a California limited liability company that makes Pharos (“SkyLink”, “we”, “us”), and you, the person invited to test Pharos (“Tester”, “you”).
2. Eligibility
You may take part only if you are at least 18 years old and located in the United States, excluding Washington state at this time. You must also agree to this agreement before you use your alpha token.
3. What alpha access means
We give you a personal invitation token so you can install Pharos and use its Alpha mode, which runs online checks through SkyLink’s service and provider accounts. Please keep the token to yourself; it has a usage budget, and online checks pause when that budget is reached. We can suspend or revoke your token, or end the alpha, at any time.
4. Confidentiality
Until the alpha ends, please don’t publish reviews, ratings or detailed write-ups of Pharos. You can always send bug reports and feedback to us at support@trypharos.app, and report security issues as described at trypharos.app/security.
5. No warranty: Pharos is alpha software
Pharos is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. It will miss some threats and will sometimes warn about safe pages. Do not rely on Pharos as your only security protection.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SkyLink is not responsible for losses caused by threats Pharos misses, by mistaken warnings, or by pages or downloads Pharos blocks, closes or pauses. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Data handling
How we collect, use, keep and delete your information is described in the Pharos privacy policy at https://trypharos.app/privacy. When Pharos checks a page online in Alpha mode, the page’s screenshot, URL and title are sent through SkyLink’s service to Cloudflare and to OpenAI or Anthropic, so please read the policy before you start.
8. Termination
Either of us can end this agreement at any time: you by uninstalling Pharos or telling us, and SkyLink by revoking your token or ending the alpha. You can ask us to delete your tester data at any time, including when the agreement ends, as described in the privacy policy. Sections 4 to 6 and 9 continue to apply after it ends.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
10. Updates to this agreement
We may update this agreement during the alpha and will tell you about material changes before they take effect. If you keep using the alpha after an update takes effect, the updated agreement applies; if you don’t agree, you can stop and ask us to delete your tester data.
